Description

Commonly known as: Philodendron Dark Lord

Botanical name: Philodendron Dark Lord

Philodendron Dark Lord stands out for its shifting colour and strong structure. New leaves emerge in deep red tones before gradually darkening into rich green as they mature. This transition creates a layered look across the plant, with different stages of growth visible at the same time.

The leaves are elongated and slightly pointed, giving the plant a more refined shape compared to broader-leaf varieties. As it grows, the stems become more upright and structured, allowing it to be trained upward or supported for climbing.

At this size, the plant is already established and beginning to show its growth pattern. With the right conditions, it continues to produce new leaves from the centre, gradually building height and fullness.

The darker foliage gives the plant a more grounded presence. It pairs well with lighter or variegated plants, providing contrast without relying on pattern.

With consistent care and stable conditions, Philodendron Dark Lord develops into a more substantial plant, with deeper colour and stronger vertical growth over time.

Philodendron Dark Lord Care Guide

Feed during the growing season with Grobest Organic Fertiliser every 4–6 weeks. For stronger growth and colour development, Novatec Soluble Fertiliser can be used.
